The Half Moon Bay High School Tennis Courts recently received a much-needed upgrade, thanks to the combined efforts of the Building Construction class and VICTORY.
When the Coastside Tennis Association reached out to inquire about replacing the old benches by the courts, the project was quickly embraced as an opportunity for students to create. In collaboration with Level 2 students from the Advanced Building Construction class, the team built brand-new benches complete with backrests, providing comfortable seating for players and spectators alike.
Over the course of several days, the students worked under the guidance of Mrs. Lisa Longaker and myself. The result is a set of beautiful, durable benches that enhance the functionality and appearance of the tennis courts.
This project gave students the chance to apply their skills to a real-world project while leaving a lasting impact on campus.
